We have been looking for our first osprey sighting of the year and finally saw one early this morning, perched on a branch of a dead Cypress tree overlooking Croatan Sound. They migrate south central and South America in late September or early October and usually return sometime in late February or early March. We like to think it is the first sign of spring.
